Position Summary
Safely and efficiently assist the Multi-color Gravure press leader in operating a roto-gravure press producing printed materials maintaining Donnelley quality, press productivity, efficient make-readies, low spoilage, and cleanliness of the work area to meet and exceed our customer expectation. This will be accomplished within a team environment.
Responsibilities
To assist the Multi-color Gravure press leader in coaching and directing the team in attaining and maintaining RRD Standards in the following areas to meet the customers expectations, team goals, department budgets, and division goals.
Quality-register-color-Viscosity-Alignment-and fold
Produce printed material free of defects, such as smears, streaks, slurs, ghosting, and scum tone, etc.
Assist the press team in performing routine and preventative maintenance
Correctly record all count information on press tickets, roll records, and counter tickets
Operate fire control equipment
Constantly control spoilage/waste
Maintain clean work area
Assist in the training of inexperienced people

Required Skills
Job Knowledge & Skills
Work around moving machinery with potential hazard from operating equipment
When temperatures are high outside, can be very hot in the work area
Walks/stands on cement floors
Works in multi-level area
Handle hazardous waste generated by area
Environment contains ink, toluene, grease, paper dust, and starch dust
Noise levels are medium to high around machinery

Required Experience
Mechanical ability preferred
Roll Tender skill level preferred, but not required.
