Position SummaryPatient Escorts are part of Patient Access Services and are responsible for providing information, directions, and physical assistance to customers.
Duties include but are not limited to escorting patients to designated location, notifying the department of the patients' arrival and when requested signing the patient in on the departmental log.
Patient Escorts also provide training to assigned volunteers in all aspects of patient escorting duties.
Other job duties as assigned by leadership.
Minimum Requirements Education High School Diploma or GEDExperience Three to six months in a medical and/or customer service setting Ability to read, write and effectively communicate in English License/Registration/Certifications N/APreferred RequirementsPreferred Education High School Diploma or GEDPreferred Experience Six months to one year in a medical and/or customer service setting Ability to read, write and effectively communicate in English Preferred License/Registration/Certifications N/ACore Job Responsibilities Possess excellent customer service skills Function effectively in stressful and demanding conditions Demonstrate impeccable interpersonal, organizational, verbal and written communication skills Escorts patients to designated areas in a punctual and timely manner Respects and protects patient confidence and hospital confidentiality by keeping all sensitive and patient information private Ability to work effectively within role independently and with other team members Educate assigned volunteers on all Patient Escort responsibilities Serve as a liaison between Patient Access and receiving modality Other duties as assigned Recommended Skills Communication Confidentiality Customer Service Hardworking And Dedicated Leadership English Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
