Job Description:
US Finance and Operations plays a pivotal role in implementing the firm's business strategy, drives our financial and operational performance excellence to sustain and strengthen the firm's financial well being, and provides business analytics that help extend PwC?s market competitiveness. There are ten correlated groups within Finance and Operations: Finance - Controller Operations, LOS Finance, Treasury, Partnership Tax, US Procurement, Internal Audit; Operations - Meeting & Event Services, Real Estate, Travel, Security These groups manage the firm's capital monetary resources; drive budgeting, forecasting, reporting and engagement economics at the partner/business unit level; establish internal controls and processes for cost management; provide a safe and progressive workplace; and provide efficient travel and meeting space so our partners and people can profitably grow our firm. LoS Finance and Regional and Business Unit (BU) Finance is responsible for executing budgeting and forecasts at the market/region/BU level. Responsible for asset management; i.e., the billings and collections. Oversees engagement economics for individual partners, clients, markets, BU, and region. Manages portfolio for specific partners, markets, clients, BU, and region. As part of the Assurance Finance organization, the Portfolio Team comprises all Portfolio Managers, Portfolio Senior Associates and Project Team Specialists-Operations. Broadly, across all the staff who comprise the team, their roles focus on analyzing and managing the optimal mix and use of skills, resources and budgets to best achieve the business and revenue goals of the Assurance client service leaders and engagement teams.

Experience: 2 Minimum Degree Required: Bachelor's degree or 4 years of project management experience Knowledge Preferred: Demonstrated understanding of Assurance deployment practices and adherence to established guidelines, processes, systems and tools which enable the engagement team to fully leverage the skills and talents of resources. Skills Preferred: Demonstrated ability to: Provide support to the Team Portfolio Manager (Team PoM) to keep their assigned engagement teams operationally on track to maximize performance and profitability. Maintain overall responsibility (point of contact) for all tactical deployment matters working directly with staff and managers to resolve issues. Staff all external client assignments, including physical inventories and applicable training. Investigate deviations in scheduling system, Retain, to actual and follow-up with individual issues. Prepare historical realization analysis and other relevant reports for Team PoMs. Send Billing & Collections reports to managers and partners on a weekly basis. Handle a variety of diverse responsibilities, analyzes information and conducts research in the delivery of assigned tasks. Provide Team PoM with reports: engagement hours leverage analysis, contrast to budgeted leverage and team average. Review delinquent time sheets, monitor time charged and verify proper code usage; report issues to Team PoM. Assist with material preparation for engagement economics training and the annual budget process. Facilitate and manage the budget card process: compare actual results to budget card planning, work with PoMs on exception issues, utilize budget card reporting to determine gaps. Prepare initial draft of monthly forecast and operational dashboard. Review internal cost/expense detail for non-compliance and unusual items - verifying charges are captured in the correct codes. Gather statistics on needs (e.g. projected hours, variance to budget, work week gaps in scheduling, work load balance issues, overtime, etc.). The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
